MICHIGANDERS CAN GIVE ENERGY INPUT AT VIRTUAL OPEN HOUSES
You’re invited to participate in virtual public open houses hosted by Consumers Energy to gather suggestions for its Clean Energy Plan. The plan eliminates coal and helps achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.
At the open houses, Consumers Energy wants to learn what’s most important to their customers and key stakeholders and to learn their vision of the state’s energy future.
The next session will be Tue. Sept. 15 at 2:00 p.m. and will focus on the Road to Renewable Energy. To participate in the open house, visit www.MICleanEnergy.com for links to join the event. The open house is scheduled to last 45-minutes.
The Clean Energy Plan we launched in 2019 will eliminate coal and meet 90 percent of our state’s energy needs with clean resources by 2040. But we’re not done exploring and innovating. The series of virtual open houses will include:
- Meeting members of the Consumers Energy team
- Asking questions and offering suggestions
- Seeing how you benefit — and how you can help
Additional open houses will be held:
- 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13: Protecting Our Planet
- 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10: A Smarter Energy Future
The public input will help inform Consumers Energy’s suggested Clean Energy Plan updates to the Michigan Public Service Commission in June 2021.
