Community presentations start at 6:00 p.m.
Dinner is to be presented by the Tech Center Hospitality Class at 6:30 p.m.
Followed by Bill Rayl, STEAMM

Bill Rayl will be sharing information on Jackson County’s STEAMM program, which is a workforce development project. Youth who participate in the STEAMM programs are motivated and exited; develop an awareness, curiosity, and special interest; and can apply these academics to real life situations. There are successive programs for pre‐k through graduation! They LEARN while having extraordinary fun and hunger for more! These programs are a wonderful and successful collaborative effort between schools, industries, and other organizations.

 

Bill Rayl is and has been the Executive Director of the Jackson Area Manufacturers Association (JAMA) for 10 years. His forte has been building and managing successful membership organizations and training programs for over two decades. Bill also serves as Senior VP of the Enterprise Group, Jackson County’s professional economic development organization; State of Michigan’s Early Childhood Investment Corporation’s Corporate Board by appointment of Governor Jennifer Granholm; Member of the Michigan Manufacturing Association and the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council; Founding Member of the Association of Online Professionals; Executive Board member of the National Skills Coalition; Member of the Presidents’ Council of the National Association of Manufacturers.
