First Phase of Downtown Hudson Apartment Rehabilitation Concluding
By autumn, several newly rehabilitated rental units above commercial spaces along Main Street in downtown Hudson will be ready to receive new occupants, thanks to a state grant program.
The rental rehabilitation project was initiated by the Hudson City Council two years ago and grant funding pursued to help breathe new life into vacant, upper-floor apartments above the downtown business fronts.
Borchardts Market Open in Onsted
The grand opening of Borchardts Market today in Onsted, Michigan brought together county and state representatives, local business people and community members. Borchardts Market purchased the defunct and vacant Interlakes Grocery, which closed it’s doors in 2013. They have been in business since 1992 and currently have two other grocery stores in operation in Blissfield and Morenci, Michigan.

The Adrian Mall, recently purchased by the Tabani Group of Dallas, Texas is currently undergoing a rejuvenation. Meanwhile, the Lenawee County community is awaiting the announcement of the new anchor store.
Lenawee Now earns top marketing award for Community Book
For the second year in a row, Lenawee Now received a top state marketing award presented by the Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA). The community book will be distributed locally to business partners and hotels, as well as regionally at tourist centers.
