This grant will allow the City of Adrian to restore and enhance its historic downtown for years to come. “These funds will help Adrian continue its great work to revitalize downtown, State Senator Dale Zorn, R-Ida, said in a statement to the Daily Telegram, “which is outstanding news for the people of Adrian and the entire area.” Upon confirmation of this grant, Mayor Jim Berryman also expressed remarks to the Daily Telegram, stating, “The MSF board vote today gave our community revitalization efforts a giant step forward. With this positive action being taken today, along with the hopeful vote on the Strongback project next month, our historic downtown will be enhanced for decades to come.”
Part of these funds will be used to help the Croswell Opera House finish its renovation process which began earlier this summer. The Croswell is considered a gem of downtown and the city of Adrian is thankful these funds will help keep it, along with other historical favorites, alive and well.
