The upcoming end of the school year brings about many opportunities for students and employers alike. After graduation, students choose their next steps, which may include, college, trades training, or going directly into the workforce. This emerging next generation provides employers with the opportunity to recruit their next apprentices, interns, or entry-level employees.

Here is a list of upcoming events to connect upcoming graduates and employers, and give parents practical resources to support their students:

March 23, 2023: Career Connections Job Fair allows employers to connect with high school juniors and seniors, college students, and community members seeking a career change. This event provides for businesses and jobseekers to find mutually beneficial opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and full-time and part-time work.

Also, students will have the opportunity to tour the Siena Heights University Campus and attend sessions held by employers to learn about best practices for getting hired.

April 27, 2023: Reverse Job Fair allows the regions’ manufacturing, engineering, and automotive employers to meet, interview, and see work samples from potential employees, apprentices, and interns. A tour of the LISD TECH Center will be available after the event. Register
