As unprecedented changes continue to challenge our local businesses, Lenawee Now has put economic recovery at the forefront of our efforts. With several state and federal resources available, our team can foster growth and continued success throughout Lenawee County.
Last year, COVID-19 made an unparalleled impact on the economy and has continued to bring unforeseen challenges in 2021. From global supply chain disruptions to rapidly changing COVID-19 protocols, businesses have faced more obstacles on their paths to success than ever before.
This year, Lenawee Now focused heavily on helping businesses recover from the pandemic, build resiliency, and plan for the future. One of our accomplishments was securing competitive funding through the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) for a CARES Recovery Assistance Grant. With this grant, Lenawee Now is connecting businesses with local industry experts to help them not only survive but thrive in these troubled times.
That said, the EDA Grant is not the only opportunity Lenawee Now can offer. Together with our regional partners, we have built an inventory of resources to address the financial and operational needs of our businesses. This includes, but is not limited to LION Fund, LION Fund II, Launch Lenawee, Lenawee Business Assistance Team, USDA loan programs, Lenawee County Revolving Loan Fund, and more. With these programs, our local business owners have seized the opportunity to become stronger, more strategic, and more successful, despite the pandemic’s setbacks.
From helping entrepreneurs start companies to attracting new talent for current businesses, we are optimistic about the county’s economic prosperity in 2022. Our businesses are building back stronger than ever before, and we are extremely proud of our community’s dedication and willingness to support the future of economic development in Lenawee County.
The past two years have undeniably brought new challenges to our community, but the future of Lenawee County is bright. To learn more about the programs and opportunities available through Lenawee Now, please visit our website: LenaweeNow.org
