When it comes to turning an idea into a business, the first step is often the hardest one to take.   One of the best first steps is to build out your business plan in a program like Launch Lenawee. This intense six-month program helps you develop your idea into a viable business concept through training, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Upon graduation, you will not only have a fully developed business plan, but you will also have developed key relationships that will help you succeed in the future.

Alternatively, you can also participate in a pitch contest. You can submit your business idea for the contest where a panel of judges chooses several ideas as finalists. Finalists often receive coaching sessions with a professional pitch coach to refine their ideas and polish their presentation. The winners receive a cash prize and also make important mentoring and funding connections.

The next step in the journey is to fund your dream.  No matter what the type of business, you are going to need capital to turn it into a reality. All funders will want to see business plan. Our Business Acceleration Team helps budding entrepreneurs with customer discovery and marketing plans to include in their business plan and financial forecasts. We also help participants determine how much capital they need start their business and the best places to seek funding.

We support entrepreneurs through programs that provide important education, assistance, and connections. Lenawee Now is helping to grow a new generation of successful entrepreneurs in Lenawee County who will drive economic opportunity for all of our residents.
