Uniqueness, Innovation, Effectiveness and Positive Results: MEDA Gives Lenawee Now Top Marketing Award
Marketing efforts in 2013-14 recognized as best in population.
ADRIAN August 26, 2014 – The Michigan Economic Developers Association (MEDA) recognized the hard work being done by Lenawee Now at its annual meeting. Lenawee Now won a marketing award in the population category of <100,000 for its projects completed in 2013-14.
“We increased our investment in marketing over the last year and this award from MEDA is an immediate sign we are doing the right thing. This award is one more step in making Lenawee Now a strong contender in the field of economic development, which ultimately means more jobs coming to the area,” said Jim Van Doren, Executive Director. “None of this would be possible if it were not for the stewardship of Tim Robinson, our Director of Operations. His enthusiasm and perseverance for making Lenawee ideal for business and perfect for life are incomparable.”
The recognition was given on August 21, 2014 at an awards banquet for MEDA. The marketing competition, now in its 9th year, recognizes marketing efforts based on population. Submissions were judged in their uniqueness, innovation, effectiveness and positive results. Lenawee Now nominated its annual report, website, social media, video, and manufacturing labor study. Comments received from the review panel, which was made up of several marketing firms, showed that Lenawee Now’s branding is strong, professional, and something to be proud of.
