On behalf of the internal MEDC Broadband Team and Connecting Michigan Taskforce (CMIT), we want to share exciting details about a statewide Broadband Listening Tour. The purpose is to provide local and regional stakeholders across Michigan an opportunity to learn about CMIT, provide federal and state broadband updates, and listen to valuable insight about broadband issues, solutions, and opportunities.
The sessions will be 45 minutes and will be hosted and facilitated by the MEDC and Connected Nation Michigan. Attendees intended include local, regional, and state-level stakeholders that are impacted by broadband access, adoption and/or use, or lack thereof. Examples include Local EDO’s, Chamber of Commerce, CVB’s, Community Development Planners, Local Units of Government, K-12 and Higher Education, Hospital and Healthcare providers, ISP’s, Businesses, Libraries, Farm Bureaus, Extension Staff, Community Foundations, Public Safety and 911 directors, Emergency Responders, Regional Commissions, Senior Centers, Commissions on Aging, Tribal and Native Nations, and additional stakeholders you identify.
