Align Lenawee – Lenawee Talent Consortium, an initiative of Lenawee Now since its inception in 2014, has been an important collaborative effort involving students, parents, educators, and businesses across Lenawee County to specifically address the growing talent needs to ensure the ongoing success of the area’s economy.

Their signature program – the Align Talent System – was developed to “navigate” prospects looking for gainful employment through a practical, straightforward process with a focus on “aligning” them with the most important resources along their journey so they can achieve their personal goals.

Resources may be as simple as information about companies who are hiring, the specific positions they are looking to fill, training programs they can participate in before they are hired or even during their employment through On-the-Job (OJT) as well as various certification training programs.

Leading the Align Talent System initiative are two Lenawee Now Career Education Navigators. One continues to work closely with counselors within the county’s eleven school districts keeping them apprised of the latest employment opportunities that they can, in turn, share with students looking to start a career. While the other works closely with representatives within the employment community to identify companies who are hiring and offer tuition reimbursement so that students who are hired can pursue a secondary degree.

Another way the team at Align Lenawee intends to keep students and other prospects engaged and fully informed is through periodic virtual and/or live career counseling events. Lenawee Now will announce all planned events through this website. Still, others will include important employer-recorded presentations uploaded to this site as well as written articles designed to keep everyone informed.

These are unprecedented times, indeed, yet Lenawee Now through Align Lenawee is determined to do all it can to assist prospects looking for successful and rewarding careers as well as the employers who hire them and who will benefit from their individual contributions – a solid strategy, we truly believe, that will keep Lenawee County a vibrant, growing and productive community.
