Lenawee Hosts Baladino as Part of Arts Midwest World Fest Cycle
Part of the Arts Midwest World Fest 2015-17 cycle, Baladino plays centuries-old melodies and sounds carried to Israel from Spain, Eastern Europe, Turkey, and Arabic countries, blending these far-ranging musical influences with authenticity and conviction. Several workshops were hosted throughout Lenawee and and with a final performance at The Croswell Saturday evening.
LISD Superintendent Jim Philp set to step down in August
Lenawee Intermediate School District Superintendent Jim Philp has announced he will retire in August after 36 years of service at the LISD.“It’s been an honor and a privilege not only to work with the LISD but also to lead it,” Philp said.
It was a pleasure to work with Superintendent Philp over the years, and we would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication he put in at the LISD.
