Free fishing derby to be offered by Tecumseh Parks and Recreation
The city of Tecumseh Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a “fishing derby” at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Tecumseh Park, also knowns as “The Pit,” 403 Adrian St. There is also a fishing derby for kids. The derby is free and will feature prizes for the longest fish, shortest fish and the most fish caught during the derby. “This is a fun program because it promotes our parks, their natural beauty and it’s a great recreational activity,” Dylan Kirn, recreation programmer, said. Tim volunteers on a weekly basis, serving on numerous advisory committees to offer advice and guidance to instructors from an economic stand.
