Adrian Downtown Facade Project Receives Crucial Funding

On Monday, June 6th, Michigan Economic Development Corporation officials presented the City of Adrian with a check for $1.45 million of community development block grant (CDBG) funding to be used for downtown improvements. As addressed in the initial application, this grant will be reserved for six buildings downtown, including theCroswell Opera House and Lenawee County Historical Museum. The downtown facade project is expected to generate a private investment of $558,533.

City commission OKs brownfield plan for Aubree’s in Adrian

Before Aubree’s Pizzeria and Grill can be built on South Main Street, the property needs an environmental plan so it can be cleaned up.

The Adrian City Commission on Monday approved by a unanimous vote the brownfield plan for the outlot parcel at the Adrian Mall. Because of its previous use as an automobile repair and maintenance facility, the land must be cleaned up before anything can be built there.
