LISD Middle College Program Completes Five Years

Middle CollegeFive years of providing academic success to students who would be otherwise underserved in a traditional classroom. Jackson College and the Lenawee Intermediate School District created the middle college program to help students progress at a rate that suited their needs. This program has some students on track to receive a Bachelor’s Degree two years ahead of previous classmates.

Adrian PlusOne of Lenawee County’s three higher education institutions is receiving a lot of attention for working to ease fears of future graduates. The AdrianPlus program will pay some if not all of graduates student loans if they do not land a job making $37,000 dollar or more. Fox2 Detroit sits down with Adrian College President, Jeffrey Docking, to discuss the benefits of AdrianPlus.

Historic Croswell Opera House kicks off sesquicentennial celebration with open house

CroswellThis past Saturday, the Croswell kicked off a year-long celebration which marks their 150th anniversary. March 19th, 1866 was the first event held at the theater, so it was only fitting for the open house to take place Saturday. The up-coming year is sure to be filled with many exciting events and performances!

To answer this issue, the LISD TECH Center started the Reverse Job Fair to begin building and connecting a talent pipeline throughout Lenawee County. To have an event as unique and innovative as the Reverse Job Fair happen right here in Lenawee, helps to set us apart in our efforts to develop the future workforce.
