“The Croswell Opera House in Adrian claims the title of the oldest continuously-operating theater in Michigan, and if our readers are any indication it’s also Michigan’s favorite.”

“More than 60,000 readers cast their votes for Michigan’s favorite historic theater after you’d helped us find these local gems and narrow down our list to a top 10. Croswell Opera House came out on top with 21,653 votes. It narrowly beat Muskegon’s Frauenthal Center for the Performing Arts, which had 20,121 votes.”

 

 

Adrian College Purchases Apartments in Downtown Adrian

YMCAAdrian College is making a grand investment in Adrian’s downtown and is participating in an overall revitalization.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, Adrian College announced that it has bought the Cornerstone Apartments, located on the northwest corner of Church and Main streets, what many know as the YMCA built in 1910.

 

 

LISD Celebrates Earth Day with Tecumseh Middle School and the LISD TECH Center

earth_day_0528The LISD Stubnitz Environmental Education Center (SEEC) celebrates Earth Day by hosting Tecumseh Middle School 7th graders as well as the LISD TECH Center’s Sustainable Agriculture and Environmental Science (SAES) Class.

 

Students in attendance at the SEEC were able to learn about biodiversity. The students walked away knowing that each plant and animal on Earth is here for a reason and also how they affect each other.
