Citizens Gas has proudly called Adrian home since 1856. While much has changed over 160 years, one thing never has: our focus on providing the safe, reliable, and affordable energy you deserve.
On Tues., Nov. 4, you have the chance to renew the Citizens Gas franchise agreement on your general election ballot. Your “Yes” vote would recognize our commitments to you:
• The franchise agreement allows Citizens Gas to continue providing natural gas service to the City of Adrian and its residents and businesses.
• We aim to keep your natural gas rate one of the lowest in Michigan and across the Midwest.
• In 2025, Citizens Gas is investing $1 million into our local gas distribution system to ensure it remains safe and reliable — and we will invest $4 million more in the next five years.
• These investments will help fund essential community services as we pay increased property taxes on our new equipment.
• We proudly support several of Adrian’s local non-profits that help make this a great place to live and work.
